Grande Lisboa concession was awarded to Ascendi Grande Lisboa, Auto Estradas da Grande Lisboa, S. A, in January 2007, through an international public tender.

The A16 Highway is an excellent alternative for all those seeking to access Lisbon from Cascais and Sintra, especially during peak traffic periods.

The Concession includes project, construction, financing, operating, and maintenance of hard-tolled roads for a period of 30 years.
